Young dancers learn the basics of tap dance; rhythm, and performance techniques. Happy feet while having fun! A recital will be held in June for interested dancers.
Dress: Tap shoes, leotard, tights or dance attire, hair pulled back.


Tap for Kids

Ages 6-12

Children will learn the basics of tap dance using rhythms and combinations. Young dancers are encouraged to move at their own pace in this fun, upbeat class that also teaches stage preparation at the performance level. A recital will be held in June for interested dancers.
Dress: dance attire, tap shoes, hair pulled back.


Tap Beginning / Intermediate

Ages 13+
Mon 7:30 - 8:15pm

An introduction to Tap dancing for adults and teens and a great exercise and a cardio workout! Students will learn tap rhythms, combinations, technique and performance training. All are encouraged to move at your own pace. A recital will be held in June for interested dancers.
Dress: dance attire, tap shoes, hair pulled back.

With over 25 years of experience in the dance entertainment industry, Jeanne Duran has worked on stage in the U.S. and abroad. Her range of professional experience includes work as a dancer at Disneyworld and Tokyo Disneyland and in numerous shows in Las Vegas including as a dancer for Siegfried and Roy. She has taught at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts and for St. Jude's Ranch working with special needs children.
