After School Readers Theatre

After School Readers Theatre

Ages 8 - 12
6 wks, Wed 3/12 - 4/16, 4:30 - 5:30 pm

$55 ($50 members)
2 or more siblings at $30/student

Readers Theatre offers young students the opportunity to read expressively in a group setting. Because memorization is not necessary to performance, students are free to concentrate on projection, enunciation, and other speaking skills. And, because anything from History to Shakespeare and even Fairy Tales can be used as a "script", RT is also a fun way to enrich your child's experience of literature and history. For this session, students will perform on stage, works such as poems, folk tales, excerpts from Shakespeare (in modern English), and short plays about history.
Register by 3/7

Instructor Nancy Kelly has taught students of various ages in a many of venues, including colleges and neighborhood groups. She holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from Temple University and Georgian Court College and is the author of Help! There's a Toddler in the House.
