Learning to draw is the foundation for creating works in oil, watercolor and other mediums. Unlike most forms of artistic expression, works in pencil can be erased and perspective can even be gained through thoughtful use of an eraser. Using graphite, or charcoal in pencil form, instructor Michael Bruley teaches students the basics of learning to draw.

Michael Bruley studied art with Jim Plumb at Chesapeake College and received his BFA at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He is an award winning artist and long-time associate of the Arts Council.

Oil painting can seem intimidating, but instructor Michael Bruley will work with new students to take the mystery out of working with oils. Learn traditional techniques and some tricks too for creating works in oils. Learn color values, attention to details, brush work and more.
